Okanagan College Endowment Fund | Donate | Established in 1994, this endowment fund supports Okanagan College Foundation’s annual scholarship and bursary program. Each year around $1M in financial support is disbursed to students across the College’s four campuses, including to around 90 deserving students from the South Okanagan Similkameen. After all sources of income are taken into account, the average Okanagan College student has annual unmet need of over $2,000. These awards recognize success and provide vital financial support helping students focus on their studies and transform their lives through education. By contributing to this endowment or establishing your own named fund, you are helping students, who might not otherwise, to access a quality education – from high schools graduates to single parents and those retraining to contribute to our region’s economy. Penticton Public Library Fund | Donate | The Penticton Public Library has been providing for the lifelong learning, reading and information needs of the City of Penticton for more than 100 years. We do this through literacy-based programs, free computer access, as well as collections of all types, and so much more. Additionally, in 2022 the Penticton Public Library Fund will help the Library transition into an overdue fine free institution. This is vital in helping the Library achieve its purpose in being a barrier free institution that serves all members of our community equally and fairly by removing fines that disproportionately impacts those who are the least able to afford it. |
